Parkland High School is a large public high school in South Whitehall Township, near Allentown, Pennsylvania. The school serves students in grades 9–12 and is the only high school for the Parkland School District. As of the 2020-21 school year, the school had an enrollment of 3,187 students, according to National Center for Education Statistics data. History Parkland High School was formed in 1949 when North Whitehall Township and South Whitehall Township merged to create Parkland Union School District, with Upper Macungie Township joining in 1950. Its predecessor, South Whitehall High School, was housed in the current day Troxell Building. Parkland used the same facility until a larger building on Route 309 in Orefield was completed in 1954, which served as the high school for 45 years. Parkland Magnet High School is a magnet school in Winston-Salem, North Carolina that offers an International Baccalaureate program and describes itself as a "Center for the Cultural Arts". Parkland was founded in 1965 as Parkland High School. The school's campus is located on the south side of Winston-Salem, and is easily accessible from Interstate 40, US Highway 52, and Peters Creek Parkway. The campus includes a main building, several multi-classroom pod trailers, a practice football field, competition track, baseball and softball fields. Leeds East Academy (formerly Parklands Girls High School) is a secondary school with academy status, in the Seacroft area of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. The school was previously an all-girls school, being the last single-sex school in Leeds.
